Cockpit Casual - Art of the Long-haul (Part Three)
In the final installment of the "Art of the Long-haul" series, Steve answers some omnipresent questions about inflight catering before heading into Francazal France by way of Tarbes for import. The episode caps off an epic journey where Ava and Steve picked up an ex-Indigo Airbus A320 from storage in Alice Springs Australia and ferried it to France where it would undergo delivery checks before being leased to a European operator. Once again the episode features more original organ trio Jazz from Steve Giordano Sr., Dave Posmontier, and Bob Shomo recorded specifically for Cockpit Casual in Philadelphia, which we are calling "the Germantown Session".

Cockpit Casual - Art of the Long-haul (Part Two)
On Part Two of Cockpit Casual, "Art of the Long-Haul", Steve and Ava make their way from Jakarta to Cairo via Colombo and Muscat. This episode features a lot of flight footage including a segment over the desert of Saudi Arabia, and a gorgeous visual approach into Cairo with the Pyramids of Giza clearly visible. The story follows Steve Giordano and Aaron Van Arsdale as they trek from Alice Springs Australia to Francazal France in an Airbus A320 that was just re-activated from long term storage in the desert. The Cockpit Casual series is a self-filmed, narrated, and produced collection of travel and adventure videos filmed by Giordano, featuring an original Jazz soundtrack recorded by Giordano's father Steve Giordano Sr. The flights are empty ferry flights on large commercial jet aircraft on behalf of the leasing companies. Giordano is a former airline pilot and currently runs the Nomadic Aviation Group; a Part 91 flight department specializing in flight-test and delivery throughout the airline industry. Cockpit Casual - Art of the Long-haul (Part One) | Cockpit View | Avgeek Series
Cockpit Casual returns with the FIRST in a THREE-PART series titled "Art of the Long-Haul". The story follows Steve Giordano and Aaron Van Arsdale as they trek from Alice Springs Australia to Francazal France in an Airbus A320 that was just re-activated from long term storage in the desert. Filmed in late 2021, COVID restrictions caused some major challenges with travel, and in Part One - Steve and Ava flew Emirates (first class) to Brisbane via Dubai, then chartered a King Air 200 from Archerfield to get to the Outback where the airplane was being stored. The empty aircraft was flown all the way to France by way of fuel stops in Jakarta, Colombo, Muscat, Cairo, and Tarbes. Cockpit Casual - A Tale of 7 Virgins (Part Four)
On the final installment of the four-part series, Steve and Jon complete one of the final re-deliveries of a Boeing 737-800 to Virgin Australia from the California Desert. Picking up where part 3 left off; on departure out of Honolulu, the route passes over Johnston Atoll (PJON) and then lands in Majuro, in the US Marshall Islands (PKMJ/MAJ) for fuel. The episode features a real-time visual approach and landing, as well as the departure from Majuro from multiple cockpit camera views in 4K. The tiny atoll is gorgeous from the air, and the scenes are arguably among the best aviation-oriented Majuro content that can be found on the internet! Part 4 caps off the tale that follows our adventures moving 7 empty airliners from Australia to the United States in 2 multi-ship ferry flight operations, and then back to Brisbane on individual flights over a year. This episode features original Jazz from the Steve Giordano Spacetet and the Symbiosis Syndicate, Giordano Sr.'s avant-garde atmospheric improvisation group. #avgeek #aviation #hawaii #travel #airplanes #pilot #airbus #vlog #docuseries #jazz #adventure #majuro #pilotview

Cockpit Casual - A Tale of 7 Virgins (Part One)
The 4-Part series, "The tale of 7 Virgins" follows the gang on a series of adventures flying between the United States and Australia delivering and re-delivering 7 Virgin Australia Boeing 737-800 aircraft. On the first episode, a team of 10 pilots and one engineer (nicknamed "Oceans Eleven"), have to get from the United States to Australia during the COVID LOCKDOWN of 2020. Because of travel restrictions, a Falcon 7X private jet was chartered to haul the team across the pacific from Los Angeles to Brisbane. Unlike other Cockpit Casual episodes, this one features the classic music of Herbie Hancock from the "Thrust" album - which is, according to Steve: "Probably the best album ever recorded". #avgeek #aviation #airplanerepo #travel #airplanes #pilot #airbus #vlog #docuseries #jazz #oceans11 #falcon7x
